On July 28th, we celebrated the feast day of St. Alphonsa in a grand manner,

featuring a solemn Holy Mass accompanied by the traditional 'ladheenju' and a

joyful procession. The day concluded with a communal 'nercha,' a special meal

prepared with care and devotion by several families from our parish.

On July 31st, we gathered for a profound celebration that included a Holy Mass

and adoration, which is led by the Nurses' Ministry from our parish. This special

day was dedicated to those who affected by natural calamities, with a particular

focus on the victims of the recent landslides in Wayanad and Vilangad. In

addition to this meaningful observance, we also celebrated Father Jerlin's

birthday, which was marked by a heartfelt cake-cutting ceremony. Our trustees,

Mr. Shammy and Mr. James, were present, adding their support and presence to

this significant occasion.

On August 11th, we organized a fundraising drive to collect rehabilitation funds

for the victims of the devastating landslides in Wayanad and Vilangad. This

initiative aimed to provide much-needed support and aid to those affected by the

recent natural disaster, reflecting our community's commitment to helping those in

dire need during this challenging time. 

On August 18th, we celebrated the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in a

grand manner, beginning with a solemn Holy Mass accompanied by the

traditional 'ledeenju' and a reverent procession. The day concluded with a

communal 'nercha,' a special meal generously prepared by several families from

our parish, adding to the festive and spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.

St. John Paul II – Intercessory Prayer group Updates

 

🔥"giving thanks always for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God the Father."🔥

 

On August 7, 2024, soon, after the Solemn Holy Mass,  Adoration to the blessed sacrament was led by St John Paul 2 intercessory group team at the Church. This Holy Spirit filled service was filled with praise and worship, Songs and Divine mercy Chaplet. It was a great blessing for the whole church and the community. Around 20 parishioners participated in this service and sought mercy for the whole community and for the whole world.

Under the leadership of Rev. Fr Jerlin , St John Paul 2 intercessory group is conducting adoration to the blessed sacrament on first Wednesdays, and it's going well by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 Nurses Ministry Updates

 

 On August 13th, the nurse's ministry held a chain rosary in all regions, and most of the members participated. On August 5th, monthly prayer meeting was held by the international team

International nurse's ministry planned to do "THE HARVEST OF GRACE “from August 31st, midnight to September 8th, midnight for the nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary. Canada nurse's ministry got the time slot on September 4th, from 2.30 pm-2.30 am. Regina nurses ministry conducted on the 12.30-1:30 am slot.

On August 19th, Nurses ministry monthly meeting was held. Fr. Daris and Fr. Joel lead the meeting. All leaders updated on their activities. The main agenda of the meeting was the upcoming 8-day continuous rosery, also the plan for Nurses ministry to do a free NCLEX Training organized by Canada Nurses ministry starting on September 9th at 12 pm to 2 pm.

On August 28th, Regina nurse's ministry has planned to do adoration after the Holy Mass.

Mathruvedi Updates:

 

 Feast of St. Alphonsa

 

The 10 days celebration for the feast of St. Alphonsa was commenced on 19th July with holy mass and novena to St. Alphonsa. The feast was conducted on 28th July 2024. Grand procession was held and mathruvedi coordinated pachoru nercha. Rev. Fr. Jerlin Francis blessed the nercha and was distributed among the parishioner

 

 Catechism Department Updates

 

We are excited to announce that the commencement of the 2024-2025 Catechism Academic Year is scheduled for September 8, 2024. We hope this year will be filled with meaningful and enriching experiences for your children as they continue their faith formation journey. The registration for new academic year is now open, and we encourage all parents to register their kids promptly.

Additionally, we are actively seeking volunteer teachers for this year's Catechism program. We believe that teaching the faith to our young ones is a calling from God, and we hope you will consider joining our team of volunteer teachers. Your efforts and dedication will play a vital role in shaping the spiritual growth of our children. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer teacher, please reach out to  Parish Priest
